Great Diner In Houston By Joseph Charpentier If you love old-time diners and diner food like I do, stop by the Tel-Wink grill on Telephone Road in Houston, TX. Huge breakfasts served all day long and daily specials like meatloaf, chicken fried steak, corned beef and cabbage, rice and beans, and roast pork dinners to name a few. You can sit at a table, booth or at the counter for that real old-time diner experience. The Tel-Wink is located at the junction of Telephone Road and Winkler Road just North of the junction of South Loop 610 Interstate and Telephone Road. The diner is open at 5AM and closes around 3PM. Weekends are very busy - expect a wait unless you sit at the counter. Price are very reasonable - around 5 to 6 dollars and servings are very generous.
